No Boundaries Banquet

Hope everyone is doing well... Its been a pretty busy week, we are in the final day of I-week, so I haven't had too much time to update the blog. As for events the fraternity is putting on in the next week or so we have some fun things to look forward too. The infamous Luau is tomorrow night up at Fat B, and although I won't be in attendance I'm sure it will be a great night. More importantly, next Wednesday, Sept. 23 is Theta Iotas first ever 'No Boundaries Banquet' which has been planned and organized by Max Maier, the Push America Officer. The event kicks off at 6pm with an empathy dinner in which each member of the fraternity will be asked to emulate a person with a disability to realize the struggles that a person with disabilities goes through. Following that, the event will be opened to the rest of the greek system and Alumni Initiate Patrick Rumerfield will be delivering the keynote speech. It should be a great event and will set the tone for future War of the Roses philanthropies. For any of you who are going to be near the area contact Max Maier for information about attending (206) 383 - 2855...

House is Ours!

For all those alumni who put in their time and worked hard to help get us to where we are today this post is for you. The chapter house is now ours. This summer alumni James McIntosh and Jason Meersman worked tirelessly to acquire the property and as of July 17th, 2009 Pi Kappa Phi Theta Iota housing corp. was in charge. Over the course of the first few weeks in Pullman we have made some serious renovations to the house. The walls have all been painted, the Rec room has some new Cougar decor, the kitchen has some huge 10 foot letters, the deck has been re-painted, new letters have been purchased for the outside of the house, and the basketball court has been decked out in some sweet Pi Kapp letters. It is safe to say that 565 NE Colorado now truly feels like a fraternity, and even more so feels like home. I urge all alumni to come visit, hang out and come see all the cool new improvements. I'll get some pictures up soon for you to see! Until next time...
