The Brothers of Pi Kappa Phi...

It is with great sadness that I announce the loss of Brother Lucas Pearson. Lucas passed away unexpectedly on the morning of November 20th. Luke was our brother, our friend, and a Pi Kapp who touched the lives of all of us. In this is a very difficult time I ask all of you to stay strong and remember the good times we have had with Lucas and the legacy of friendship he leaves behind.

As members of the Pi Kappa Phi, we need to hold strong as a brotherhood and work through these difficult times together. It is important to remember that we are not alone; we have the support our University, the National Fraternity, and our Alumni. I request, out of respect to Brother Pearson, that all members of Theta Iota (members and associates) be back in Pullman and dressed to pin before 6:30pm on Sunday November 29th. That night at promptly 7:00pm we have invited select Washington State University officials to come speak to us. Milton Lang, Vice President of Student Equity and Affairs, will honor us and Lucas with a few words.

In memory or Lucas, the brothers of the Theta Iota Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi have established a scholarship fund to honor his lasting impact on our chapter. Donations can be made by sending checks to our chapter house written to the Lucas Pearson Scholarship Fund or by directly depositing money at a local Bank of America branch.

If you or any friends have question regarding the loss of Brother Pearson please feel free to contact me at (253) 224-6817; or please contact WSU Counseling Services at 509-335-4511. Please respect the Pearson family’s request for privacy as I will update all of you with any new information that I receive as soon as possible. Remember men stay strong, rely on your brothers and honor our brother Lucas Pearson.

New Letters

We got new letters recently that were fundraiser for last Mom's weekend. The blue letters are lit from behind at night by a white light to help them stand out. Thanks to Jason Meersman for the fundraiser pitch.

Just added the picture from last night. As you can see the backlight is pretty cool! my camera isn't quite as good as Kevin's so its a little shaky but all the same.

The Newest Member of Theta Iota

Meet Oakley... The newest member of Pi Kappa Phi. He joined our noble brotherhood on November 1st, and has taken the house by storm. He is a friendly, energetic dog who is a great addiction to the house. He is very well behaved despite his gnawing tendencies. The dog, owned by Brother Kappler would love some alumni loving, and now resides in the ratnest waiting for some attention.

Thats it for now....

Rake N' Run

On Saturday the 7th of November, the men of Theta Iota took to the streets of Pullman for the annual Rake N' Run. It was a great success, raking numerous yards and helping raise awareness for Push America in Pullman. Chapter adviser Dennis McConnell provided pizza, drinks and a friendly face for our hard work, and our chapter greatly appreciated it. For more pictures visit Sean Parsons facebook album at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/album.php?aid=2236989&id=27222954 for a more in depth look at the experience. Hope everyone is well.
